Mahjabin Moon
Mahjabin completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Industrial and Production Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), respectively. She started her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tach in Fall 2024. She has been a member of the DREAMS lab since December, 2024. She is currently conducting research in inkjet printing, with a focus on understanding how the physical properties such as viscosity, density, and surface tension can affect a material’s ability to form stable and uniform droplets. She is interested in knowing how changing the printing process parameters affects the internal structure of polymers and how this impacts the performance of the printed parts. By investigating these relationships, she aims to learn the underlying principles that govern droplet formation and fluid behavior in high-precision printing processes. Her broader research interests include exploring the correlations among processing methods, material structure, and resulting properties within the field of polymer additive manufacturing
