Sarita Sepulveda

Sarita Sepulveda is a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech in the DREAMS lab, with a research focus on binder jet additive manufacturing and energetics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from UNC Greensboro and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, where her thesis explored robotic automation in the depowdering stage of binder jet additive manufacturing. Sarita has conducted research as an intern with NASA Glenn Research Center focusing on high-speed UAV engine concept simulation and twice at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) focusing on powder flow dynamics and binder jet additive manufacturing. At ORNL, she was mentored and supervised under Dr. Amy Elliott at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) at ORNL. In my free time, I like to eat, run, hike, read, and try to finish Grey’s Anatomy 21 seasons.
